Our Story

The Kambarami School was founded in 1935 by Gore Kambarami in the rural Murewa district, located in the Mashonaland East Province of Zimbabwe. Mr. Kambarami’s vision was to nurture and develop the whole child, providing the children in his community with a bright and promising future.

The Kambarami School community is driven by a united purpose and a shared vision to create an ideal environment that fosters the development of the whole child. This holistic approach encompasses education, culture, and sports.

In 1997, The Kambarami School began a transformative partnership with the Vienna Celtic Rugby Football Club, initiated by Kudzai Kambarami, the grandson of the school's founder. Through this partnership, the rugby team secured sponsors throughout Austria who generously donated to the school, significantly improving its infrastructure and expanding the student body.

With the support of the Vienna Celtic Rugby team, The Kambarami School has built some of the best facilities in the Murewa area. This collaboration has not only enhanced the physical infrastructure but also elevated academic performance, resulting in some of the best test scores in the region.
